How It Works: Your Path to Relaxation

This is a direct service designed for your comfort. Total duration is approximately 4 hours (including transfer time).

The Pickup – Door-to-Door

We pick you up from your hotel in Reykjavík or meet you at the Arrivals Hall in Keflavík (KEF). We handle your bags, settle you into a comfortable, private vehicle, and begin the scenic drive through the lava fields.

We drop you at Blue Lagoon. If you chose the „With Entry Fee” option, your ticket is secured. If you booked „Transfer Only,” please have your pre-booked ticket ready on your phone.

The driver waits. You relax. You have 2 full hours inside the Blue Lagoon. This is the standard visit time – perfect to shower, apply a silica mud mask, enjoy a drink at the swim-up bar, and float in the healing heat without rushing.

Meet your driver at the arranged time. Feel refreshed and energized as we drive you to your final destination – whether back to the city, to the airport for your flight, or to a hotel in Keflavík.

Yes, absolutely. 2 hours is the standard visit duration for most guests. It gives you plenty of time to change, shower, apply a mask, enjoy a drink, and soak comfortably. It’s the perfect „essential” experience. (If you prefer a very slow pace or extended time, check our 3-hour option).

Yes! This is the most popular way to use this service. It acts as a perfect „Arrival Transfer with a twist.” We pick you up at KEF with your luggage, stop at the Lagoon, and then take you to your Reykjavík hotel.

You must book your own Blue Lagoon ticket in advance on their official website. The Blue Lagoon is often sold out days or weeks ahead. Please align your ticket time slot with your pickup time. Without a ticket, you cannot enter.

Your luggage remains safely locked in our vehicle with your driver, who stays on-site the entire time. You only need to take your swimsuit and essentials inside.

We actively monitor flight arrivals. If your flight is delayed, we automatically adjust your pickup time. Regarding the Blue Lagoon: while they have booked time slots, they typically offer a reasonable degree of flexibility for delayed travelers. We will do our best to facilitate your smooth entry, though admission for significant delays remains subject to the Lagoon’s daily capacity.

Yes, absolutely. Our standard package includes the Comfort ticket. If you prefer the Premium package or the exclusive Retreat Spa, you have two options:

  1. Select „No Entry Fee”: Book the transfer-only option on this page and purchase your specific ticket directly from the Blue Lagoon website.

  2. Contact Us: Send us a message before booking! We can easily create a custom order for you with the upgraded ticket included, keeping everything in one seamless reservation.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation policy – simple and fair

Travel plans can change – and that’s okay. Here’s how cancellations work for this tour:

If you booked directly with CarBuddy (our website, email, or via our team):

  • 48+ hours before your tour starts
    You can cancel in writing (for example by email to contact@carbuddy.is).
    We refund the amount you paid to CarBuddy minus non-refundable payment and banking fees (card and currency conversion fees), currently around 3% of the total.

  • Less than 48 hours before your tour
    The full amount is charged (100% cancellation fee), as your vehicle and driver have been reserved just for you.

All cancellations must be sent in writing and confirmed by us in writing to be valid.

If CarBuddy has to cancel your tour because of weather, road conditions or safety/operational reasons, you can either:

  • move your booking to another suitable date/service (if available), or

  • receive a refund of the tour price paid to CarBuddy, minus the same non-refundable card/processing fees (currently around 3%).

If you booked through an Online Travel Agency or booking platform (for example Viator, GetYourGuide, TourDesk, or via a Bókun booking widget on our website), you can usually manage and cancel your booking directly through that platform using the link in your confirmation email. In that case, the platform’s own cancellation and refund rules apply, as shown in your booking confirmation.
