The Landing
We track your flight number. Whether you land early or late, we know. Take your time at passport control and baggage claim.
The Meet & Greet
Look for your driver in the Arrivals Hall. They will be holding a sign (tablet or board) with your name. They will assist you with your luggage to the car parked nearby.
The Ride
The drive to Reykjavík takes about 45-50 minutes. Your driver can share local tips or respect your silence if you need to nap.

What if my flight is delayed?
We monitor all flights. If your flight is delayed, the driver’s schedule is updated automatically. We will be there when you land. If your flight is cancelled or changed significantly, please email us ASAP.
Where will the driver meet me?
In the Arrivals Hall at Keflavík International Airport (KEF). Look for a driver holding a sign with your name.
How much luggage can I bring?
The standard allowance is 1 large suitcase + 1 carry-on per passenger. If you have extra luggage, please contact us. If you have more luggage than standard or oversized items, you MUST inform us when booking. We may need to upgrade you to a larger van.
Do you provide child seats?
Yes, and they are free of charge. Please specify the age and weight of the child in the booking notes so we bring the correct size.
Can we stop at the Blue Lagoon on this transfer?
No, this specific product is a direct transfer from the Airport to Reykjavík. If you want to stop at the spa on the way, please book our separate Blue Lagoon Transfer or Arrival Day Tour, which includes the necessary waiting time and logistics.

Cancellation policy – simple and fair
Travel plans can change – and that’s okay. Here’s how cancellations work for this tour:
If you booked directly with CarBuddy (our website, email, or via our team):
48+ hours before your tour starts
You can cancel in writing (for example by email to contact@carbuddy.is).
We refund the amount you paid to CarBuddy minus non-refundable payment and banking fees (card and currency conversion fees), currently around 3% of the total.Less than 48 hours before your tour
The full amount is charged (100% cancellation fee), as your vehicle and driver have been reserved just for you.
All cancellations must be sent in writing and confirmed by us in writing to be valid.
If CarBuddy has to cancel your tour because of weather, road conditions or safety/operational reasons, you can either:
move your booking to another suitable date/service (if available), or
receive a refund of the tour price paid to CarBuddy, minus the same non-refundable card/processing fees (currently around 3%).
If you booked through an Online Travel Agency or booking platform (for example Viator, GetYourGuide, TourDesk, or via a Bókun booking widget on our website), you can usually manage and cancel your booking directly through that platform using the link in your confirmation email. In that case, the platform’s own cancellation and refund rules apply, as shown in your booking confirmation.
