Will I definitely see the Northern Lights?
Our Honest Answer: No one can guarantee Mother Nature’s light show – she’s a diva. But we can guarantee your chance to see them. We track the sun and clouds religiously, and if the lights don’t show up, you can rebook for FREE on the next available night. We turn disappointment into a second chance date!
How long do the Northern Lights last?
They can be a quick flash of “Hi, bye!” (a few minutes) or a full, spectacular performance that lasts hours. Our private tour means we have the flexibility to wait for the show and enjoy the extended encore if it happens.
When is the best time to see the lights?
Statistically, the best time is between 9 PM and 2 AM. Our mission starts when the darkness hits, giving us the prime hours for the hunt. If you see us checking our watches, it’s because the sun just decided to go to bed.
How cold will it be?
It’s Iceland in the dark winter. Expect temperatures ranging from “crisp” to “I can’t feel my toes.” Layers are essential! Think Michelin Man chic. We’ll provide the warm vehicle and hot drinks—you bring the thermal armor.
Can I take pictures with my phone?
Yes! Most new phones have excellent “Night Mode”. For the best results, use a tripod or prop it steady. Don’t worry about being a professional photographer – your guide will help you set up the perfect shot so you can focus on the spectacle.
Are the Northern Lights dangerous?
Absolutely not! The lights are an atmospheric phenomenon high above the earth. The only danger is staying out too long without proper clothing—so bundle up!
